More from Stockholm

I'm trying not to overwhelm with pictures while still giving some flavor of the trip. Today I offer four pictures of sculpture. The first is a portrait of Astrid Lindgren, who not only created Pippi Longstocking, but also the best children's literature museum I can imagine.

The Nordica Museet is a place that is all about attention to detail. It has many sweet and quirky elements, but the one I photographed was this guardian of the stairs.

I took this photo for T.R. who has a somewhat anarchic sense of what drawers are useful for. As expected, he was charmed and now wants a dresser like this.

And finally, a lion. I was tempted to save this photo for a group of lions, but what the heck. I may have to repost it if I decide lions merit their own photo-pride. This one, with its gleeful rider, lives outside the restaurant at the Stadhuset, the one that cooks the dinner for the Nobel prize winners.

Actually, I love it too! But I would need a bigger room in order to use it. Sigh.

I've been meaning to answer your evite, by the way. I will, but are kids ok? Mine in particular, not kids in general...

Miss you!
