Lent Day 39

Today's water shapes are the result of glasses! Half full, half empty, with ice... I'm also interested in the color. I hadn't been thinking about that part, about how water reflects the colors around it. It's more of a chameleon than a chameleon, but the remarkable part, to me, is that no matter what shape it takes, what color it mirrors, it remains itself. That's the mystery.

Are you familiar with the work of Masaro Emoto? He does photography of ice crystals using water from different sources, and after doing various things to the water (like saying prayers, or playing national anthems), and it's really cool to see the various patterns he has caught on film.

This is his website:

And another one which talks about his work:

If you haven't heard about him before, you should check him out. I think you'll appreciate what he's doing. :)

OK, that is just too cool. Plus I feel much better about the manageable level of my obsessions!
