Small Stuff

Today is about the small stuff. It’s about housework and cooking and caring for the family.

I don’t always (ever?) do well with the constant shifting of priorities. I spent an inordinate amount of time dealing with abstractions. So it is not bad to have a day of work with physical objects, even if one of them is a vacuum cleaner. (I am Nature and I abhor the vacuum.)

It’s also nice to have a day on which the results are so easy to see. At the end of the day, everyone will be clean in the clean house and fed. Not a bad goal.

Everyone will be clean? Are you requiring that they go directly to the shower upon their arrival in the clean house, before proceeding to the nutritious dinner? I certainly hope so.

You bet!
After Syd gets home from track? Go to shower, go directly to shower, do not pass go, do not collect $200. T. has a non-optional cleanliness clause in his contract, too. Brent and I are always clean, natch.

And dinner is mostly nutritious, but we have friends coming tomorrow for dinner, so I made chocolate mousse. I can't let the extra go to waste, right?
